New wheels for wood models

Project by studeag posted 331 days ago 392 views 0 times favorited 5 comments Add to Favorites Watch

Here are some new wheels that will give more life to my future models.

The truck wheels are made of walnut and padauk, they are 2 3/4” diam. I could have use any other wood color, these are bud type wheels with 5 holes in the hub. I can make any type of wheel hub to fit my model.

The car wheels are the spoke type, they are 2 3/4” diam. that will fit almost any patterns on the market. They could be made in other diam. My future models will be lot more realist. I use walnut for the rim, but again any other wood color could have been chosen.

These tractor wheels are made from Toys & Joys patterns. They are fun to build.

More models to come!

Very very cool…”a nice set of wheels”. The detail is great in every way and I agree with Joe…very realistic.

Thanks for posting them.
