These are my very first projects (totally new to woodworking). I did three at a time, knowing I’d have either three completed boxes or three mistakes! Used wenge/spalted maple, padauk/canary wood and yellow heart/quartersawn oak. Finished with 3 coats of poly. Good enough for me to try another project….!

Wow, great job. The fact that you are new at this makes it even more impressive. I can’t wait to see what you will be comming out with when u get a little more sawdust under foot.
-- Sure Dear, I can make that for you. Lemme just run out and get a tool I need for that.

Wow, excellent first efforts. Not sure I would have had the stones to try three of them at once on the first go around. I like your style – all or nothing – glad to have you on board LJ’s.

Very nice. I’d say they turned out nicer than my first attempts.
Good job.

Very good i like the wenge/spalted maple box. Pretty brave to start them all at the same time.

Great job on the boxes. I agree that it was ambitious to launch 3 of them at the same time, given the fact that they were your first attempt. They all turned out beautifully. They certainly are far nicer than any I have made. Nice job on the miter keys as well.
