I do not know much about probabilities but when replacing the bits on my router almost always i choose the wrong side of the key. This fact distract me from working so i choose to embed the less used part of the key.Now it’s finished so i will be sure 100% of choosing the right side. The black and white aspect it make the key more visible as well.

Necessity is the mother of invention. Im lazy, and settled with marking the correct end on my key, with a magic marker. :-D

Please forgive my ignorance, but what the heck is a “router key?” Is that actually a small wrench?

Expiring minds want to know.

By the way: it looks pretty well done, whatever it is.

Sorry; still don’t understand. No, I’m not exactly new to woodworking, nor to routers. Both my routers (Bosch) use full size wrenches that don’t look anything like your “Key.” Am I correct in assuming that what you have shown is a wrench?

Thank You. I just wanted to make sure it wasn’t something cool and useful that I wasn’t aware of.

Well, it looks nice, and I’m sure it’s useful. I merely wanted to identify it.

Thanks.

Haha…funny guys. I like these little cultural learnings that we should do more of. The exchanged reminded me of the old “Who’s on first” skit.
