This is a greeting podium I built for a winery in the Livermore valley in Northern CA. Basically it’s for the host to greet patrons at check in. It has an upper deck, and lower deck for a cash register and an iPad to check reservations. There are also two storage shelves below for wine glasses. They didn’t want anything fancy as you can see. The top and bottom decks are just laminated sheets of 3/4 ply that I rounded the corners on and eased the edges of with hand sanding. All the open field areas inside the trim will be filled with corrugated metal. I still have to do A little sanding and spray some clear but this is pretty much what it’s gonna look like. I wanted to do something quite a bit more fancy but the client insisted this is the look they want.
