Like most of you, I’ve been busy trying to finish up family gifts for Christmas. This is one project I finished just in time. They’re lap trays. Good for eating a meal while watching your favorite show (or game) on TV or to carry stuff out to the grill. Everyone liked them. There’s a variety of wood: oak, cedar, ash, sycamore, royal paulownia, hemlock ….. just using up what i had. The bottoms are birch plywood. Some were stained and some were left natural. The finish was 3-4 coats of wipe on poly.

Nice idea. We currently use a baking sheet to transport stuff to the grill. I may need to make a few of these.

Great gift and the one that will be used for a long time.
