Project is a 22w x 24 L x 7/8T frame made from laminated cherry and spalted maple. The cherry is 3/4 wide with a 1/2 rabbit for the painting.

The outer frame is milled from one piece maple and the cherry is also milled from one piece.

Miter joints were cut on tablesaw using an incra miter express sled. Anyone that is on the fence for one should pull the trigger it is one of my best tools in the shop.

Miter cuts are reinforced with pocket holes.

Finish is two coats of oil bases poly using 0000 steel wool between coats.

Thanks for looking.

Thanks, it’s a painting of the father of my client that passed away. I made a consus attempt to pick the spieces of wood to reflect the colors of the painting.

I have been looking for a frame for my wife’s paintings. Her canvases are at least 3/4 inch thick. Would this work for her frames?
