This is an Americana style pen. The pen is made using a nice Craft Supplies Rhodium roller ball kit. I’m not sure the pictures do this pen justice. This is the second of four I made for retiring co-workers.

Forget the pens. How do you keep your workbench so clean?

LOL. It is bench I purchased for my mother-in-law. I’m trying to keep it in good shape till she takes it home in June.

The pen looks very nice! I have seen the Craft Supplies catalog before and noticed some of the top-dollar kits. Are they significantly better than the mainline offerings? (It wouldn’t take much; the pens/pencils I’ve made all have one weak point: the hardware.)

The kits are very high quality. Much better than the 24K gold plated ones.

Yes is Gabon Ebony. They offerred early retirement and 4 of my peers accepted. These are people that I have worked with for around 5 years. They are special people.

Really great pen. I’ve always wanted to check out those kits, but don’t feel quite ready. Great job!

Go for it Mark. Start with some of the lower priced kits in this line to learn the kit. Have you go the Kip and Rex turning book and videos?
