Started these boxes on the 18th of December. Finished them on the 22nd. I’m starting Christmas gifts in Sept/Oct next year. It was a bit of a rush job, I could have done better. but the wife, daughter, and mother seem to be happy.
Fours days to do 3 boxes. I think it would take 3 days to do one box. I have never been one of those box maker guys. I have a gained respect for the guys that are in to it. Those things are hard to make.
I think I’ll do cutting board next year!

Not bad for a 3-4 day project.

I think you did just fine, from what I can see. Especially with the tight time constraint.

Hinges are just on the surface. No mortice. They were all I could find on short notice. Turned into a fun project. Boxes can be tough. My skills have been improved :) .

I feel your pain, I seem to wait until the last minute every year also. Great job!
