Pictures are no good. I’ll take some more.
My granddaughter said she needed a bigger jewelry box. She said that she had outgrew the one I gave her last year. She is 16 years old going on 21.
I had quite a few Figured Maple small boards and also I had ordered some African Mahogany. I had never worked with the African Mahogany, and I’m not sure weather I will again. The boards I had were very brittle and chipped if you looked at it too long. I used Cherry for the drawers and the necklace bar.
I used 2 coats of Tung Oil, which the wood sucked up and 5 coats of lacquer..
Thanks for looking.

Maybe the photo’s aren’t the best quality, but the box certainly is.
I like the grain match on the small drawers, and that blue flocking really sets off the maple.
This is simply a great build … Thanks for the post Duck

Thanks grumpy. When I reduced the picture size it screwed them up. I will fix it when I get time. I am putting one together now that has some beautiful Birdseye Maple, Wedge and Paduk. Should have it done next week. A lot of detail.

Thnx Duckster. They do have a gr8 selection there, and their prices aren’t too bad.
