As an avid gamer, and someone into all things geeky and gaming. I decided that I wanted to build my own dice tower last weekend. After some design contemplation I also decided I wanted to do it totally without glue so that in the future I could make multiple ‘kits’ for friends that they could paint or stain and then put them together themselves with minimal tools. For this version I used red oak pieces from the big blue box store and some danish oil to finish it. The joints on the inside don’t match up as close as I was hoping they would, but I wanted to stick to just simple cuts so that I could easily produce several sets at a time. I think I will make some jigs for my next version and get the pieces to match up a little nicer. All in all I’m pretty happy with it for just a few hours worth of work.
