Hi Jim, I just love your shaker chest!
After building the shaker writing table for my daughter, I need to build her a chest of drawer and want it to be in the shaker style.
Can you tell me the total height and lenght of the legs

Hey Martin
This chest was made from a photo out of Chirs Becksvoorts book “The Shaker Legacy” If you like shaker this book is a treasure- trove of information many of the photos (from shaker museums) have measurements ,This one did not I think I scaled it up from the drawing or looked at Chris’s web site to see the measurements of the 4 drawer chest he makes. Its cheating and I’m certainly not any competition to an expert like Chris. I Think he sells his book through his web site or you can get it through taunton press, The folks who make Fine woodworking Magazine. If your not sure how to scale up from a drawing I think Fine woodworking.com has a couple articles on how to do that. One other way to get measurement on furniture is to look on web sites that sell there version of shaker furniture and to see what there dimensions are like Sturbriddge yankee workshop. I’m sorry I didn’t have that height for you it’s been a number of years since I made the 4 drawer chest and it was delivered to a customer back then. I’m looking forward to seeing your finished project.
