I was driving past an ally an happened to spot some old furniture being tossed out. I drove past and convinced my self to go back. I stopped and felt a little weird looking at this but in the collection was a table top covered in bird poop and children stickers on the bottom. It wasn’t looking to good, but it did have the manufactures sticker stating it was a maple table. I put on the work gloves threw it in the truck bed took it home cleaned it off and stripped all the scratched up finnish. I gave it a good sanding and built this. The drawer front was a piece of cutt off scrap I got for $4 dollars at Rockler when I was picking up the flocking material and a drawer pull. I asked what it was and they thought it might be Ash. I am not skilled enough to identify wood species yet so I am going to have to take their word for it. I resawed it so I can build a second one of these.

Nice job. Way to go with salvaging the table for new life. I’m making my wife a charging station right now. I like your design better. I may have to start over :)

One man’s trash .... I like free stuff, in fact free is my favorite four letter F word.
Applebee’s remodeled their local store and threw the 1” thick oak tables in the dumpster … Yeah, they landed right in my pickup.
Great save on your reclaimed Maple, your charging station/ valet looks really nice

-- Grumpy old guy, and lookin' good Doin' it. ... Surprise Az.

Nicest charging station I’ve seen. Not sure I’m stilled enough let for something like that but I will save it for the future.

Well done! I like the grain orientation on the sides vs horizontal.
