This is a Myrtle wood (California Bay Laurel) buffet in a modified Tansu design. It is built in three pieces so it can be rearranged as needed. It is finished with a water base varathane. The clock on the wall is also Myrtle wood but was finished with Danish oil and the wood appears much darker. The clock was designed to hold an old Seth Thomas #12 mechanism that I inherited from an old clock collector friend. I do not know what the original clock may have looked like. I
