My daughter Kimber is a “Lord of the Rings” geek, she received this map for Christmas from one of her friends.
She asked me to build a frame for it, so I did this one for her 19th birthday.
The frame is made from alder the pegs are ebony, the finish is spray lacquer.
Approximately 28” x 40”.

Looks great and the pegs give it a nice touch!
Great books and movies too.

Awesome. You’re raising a right proper nerd. Makes me proud.

Looks really nice. I like the lap joints. I would have backed the map with cork and left off the glass so your daughter can place tacks on the places on the map she has visited :)

Hi Bake,

That’s a nice looking frame. You’re a good dad!

Great job! Simple but well crafted – like a Hobbit might have made. Bilbo and Frodo will be pleased. :)

Thanks for posting.
