This is a Murphy bed that was completed on December 18, 2008. This is the first Euro style that I’ve built in the twin size. It has two bookcases, all adjustable shelves except for the one about a third up from the bottom and the pull-out drink tray.
If you notice the right bookcase has a back that is cut at and angel. This was requested by the customer to clear a curved corner wall on that side. This was a little more difficult than the normal forty-five degree angle that I normally put on items. The problem came in when I had to rip boards, like the sides, with the blade lower than forty-five. This can’t be done so I temporarily nailed a support board on the end so that it could sand up and be supported and then I could run it through on the complimentary angle. For example if I needed a 55 degree cut. I subtracted that from 90 and set the saw on 35. Of course I had to turn the board 90 degrees also. That is why I had to tack that support board onto it. I hope somebody finds that useful and not confusing. It is easier to do than to explain.

Great looking bed!
That size of project must be really difficult to move into a customers home!
