I made this in a woods class. I used walnut and red oak. The top and legs are made out of walnut. The sides are made out of red oak. I had to join two top boards together biscuit cut the top. Then, I had to join the two more boards for one of the legs with another biscuits. I did that with both legs. I used the kreg jig to put the step stool together. I used golden old water based stain for the red oak and #44 water based stain for the walnut. To give it a smooth feel, I put 3 coats of Formby’s Tung Oil.
