Cedar, acrylic. The design did not account for the squirrels rapid increase in weight. Options could be to make the platform shorter to reduce the lever forces, or additional fasteners.

Good job. I built a squirrel feeder … ONCE! They emptied that sucker in 5 minutes! It was just too costly to keep it filled.

Good pictures…

The squirrels are fun to watch but category a feeder fast. The fun part is to feed the birds and keep the squirrels off. It is a real contest.

We hang our feeders and have a two way squirrel baffle above it and seems to work.

waterproof glue and fewer fasteners or pilot holes and don’t overtighten the fasteners.

Great looking feeder!
