Thanks lew. I started off between centers to do the bottom and left a tenon. Since I don’t have one of those fancy chucks, I turned basically a cup and attach it the a 3” faceplate. The cup has slots cut in it so a hose clamp will tighten everything down to hold the piece. It works but you get a lot of vibration. Turned the inside, turned it around with a jamb/friction chuck to cut down the tenon.
