Thanks to MsDebbieP for the plans and original project posting here (http://lumberjocks.com/projects/3501). I made a couple to give away at Christmas. This was an easy and fun project. I’ll probably make some more next year. Add a bottle of wine and you have a great last minute gift.
Oh, and unlike MsDebbieP, I did not paint walnut. I used pine.
Merry Christmas everyone!

Too funny! I like those.
What angle is cut on the bottom?

Those are really cute! I just made ten wineholders (5 of which are giftable) and I think they are the hardest, most time consuming wooden things I’ve made yet – all that sanding! My greatest joy is that the finish is drying now! I’m going back to boxes ….. they are much more fun! Andy (Craven’s shop hog)!

Kerry,
I cut the angle at 52 deg. Follow the link in the project description to MsDebbieP’s original posting. She posted the plans for this. Just make sure to get both part 1 and part 2 of the plan. I think she posted part 2 near the bottom of the page.

Those are great! I know several people who would lovet those. I think I’ll have to try my hand at those. Nicely done!

I’m glad you didn’t use walnut – I would have had to reprimand you ha!
Great job.

Hello I am new here, saw your snowman an Love them, love them.. do you have a measured drawing you’d be willing to share? I have a sister who has a birthday in December an I want to do something different for her. Thanks for sharing this really cool idea!

joebazooka, I’m pretty sure the original plan was posted by The Winfield Collection. They used to post free plans along with their pay plans. I’ll look around and see if I still have a copy. If I can find it, I’ll send you a message.
