More music boxes

Two red oak and three red cedar (one shown) music boxes. Also made three for gifts at a Boy Scout Christmas Party.

What is special about the red cedar is that they are made from the recycled wood claimed from the seats from my father-in-law’s old rowboat. Pretty dry after 50 years! He would have liked them!

Very nicely done. Isn’t working with old wood great? I think the project takes on a whole new twist when using materials with meaning.
