Another in a series of pens made as Christmas presents. Red Padauk Comfort pen with chrome kit. Wood finished on lathe with BLO and CA.
I have found that the BLO/CA finish is very nice to aapply and solves some of the problems I had when just applying CA alone.

Very nice. I like the wood and I am a fan of the comfort pens, make good presents.
And once you get the hang of BLO/CA you wonder how you ever did it with straight CA!

I make pens myself and was wondering what problems the BLO solved? Currently I only use CA glue and get a pretty good finish quickly, but any improvement would be great!

I was having problems with some fuzz from the papertowel ruining the finish and having to sand it off. With BLO I was able to get a smooth finish each time.

So you use the BLO after the CA glue then?

BLO first then CA. I repeat several times finishing with CA.
