No, its not turned :-)
daltxguy has kindly donated me a 1 meter long trunk of silver beech. my original intent was to try and turn live edge bowls. I failed miserably. anyway, i still had about 80 cm of very nice trunk that seemed to be drying without cracking. So this is what I made. the legs are turned from black walnut (I am very proud of myself – one of my few turnings that actually worked). it is also level (more luck than anything else).

The beauty of your stand is equal only to all that beautiful green and sunshine. My sunshine (now) when we get it is frozen. be patient you turning will improve with pratice.

it is gloss “wipe on” poly, many many layers (i think about 10), with sanding going up to 1200
