Tried to do Intarsia work a few times, and got frustrated trying to fit the pieces together. Watched a series of videos on youtube by ScrollSawParadise. He does a different technique that really works for me! This piece was a pattern by Paul Meisel, featured in a magazine. It’s only 20 pieces, but it’s a start! Used Walnut, Maple, and Butternut for the beak. Used Min-Wax wipe-on satin Poly for the finish. Excellent stuff to use for finishing!

Looks great. You are off now on a new adventure. So many things you can do in intarsia …. enjoy the ride.

For a first(I have never been that brave to try intarsia) it is fantastic!

Any old “Case Tractor” guy would really love it!
