My buddy is a “Chef” and he likes to entertain so since I don’t drink ( anymore) I will be giving him something to keep is wine on, it is a slight variation of the WOOD magazine model I made it my “own type of thing”. ¾ stock instead of ½, placed the base parallel instead of across used two dark wood ( this will fit better in his kitchen) Bloodwood and Zebrawood which by the way is a big pain in the neck to work with I am still picking out splinters out of my fingers.I think it turned out pretty good. I know he will like it so whatever.

Really like the asthetics of this piece, the simplicity and elegance would be a nice fit over here in Asia. Definitely an addition to my Favorites.
Would you share the overall dimensions, looks to be about 24×24.

Trauma, Looks great!!! I like your variation. The color combo’s are a nice touch. Did you have any problem with the tenons? What type of finish did you use?

I like it too. Almost like 3 dimensional chinese lettering.
