The exacto knife is one of my favorite tools, but it has it’s limitations. So I wanted to make a similar small knife, but with thicker blade and an ergonomic handle.

Here’s a video of the whole process: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=45rxz1ysFDQ

The design of this carving knife is purely form follows function. The round ferrule allows for good grip and control close to the blade, the handle sits well in hand and the short, slim blade makes it versatile.

I didn’t want it to be pretty, I wanted it to be a good tool that I can use comfortably on a daily basis.

Very nice knife. I enjoyed the video as well.
