After I just completed making a new large crosscut sled, it hit me that I should probably make a smaller one to deal with the majority of the work. I looked around in my scrap pile to see what I could find to use for the fence, and found an unreal looking piece of figured 8/4makore, and a piece of lightly figured 4/4 birch. Th edimensions of this one are 23×15. It is finished with BLO, and wax.
Next on the agenda will be a new outfeed/router table for the new router, and plate I just ordered to replace the one I built.

Nice sled. That ’s a nice piece of “makore”. little too nice for my jigs. I’m sure I won’t be the last to make a joke about beer in the shop but . .. yikes. :)

Nice observation. The beer was being consumed while I was taking pictures. I plan on keeping all of my fingers, so drinking while working is out of the question.

Nice sled. If you want to part with that “fence” I’d be glad to pay the shipping :)

HAHAHA MAN OH MAN THATS A SWEET PEICE OF WOOD. I DO THE SAME THING WITH MY JIGS. MY RULE IS THAT IF THE PIECE OF WOOD HAS BEEN SITTING FOR 2 MONTHS AND I HAVNT USED IT. I USE IT FOR A JIG REGARDLESS OF ITS FIGURE. GREAT SLED MAN
