Nice Jem handle modification! I would love to do something like that with a Jackson RR3 I have collecting dust. I like the S shape over the warlock’s W shape (for lack of a better letter that describes all of its angles).

The Warlock body is sharp and pointed. It chips if you stand it up.

My friend Joe Jem Dispagni is teaching me to build guitars. Joe cut the first handle in a guitar for Steve Vai. Steve wanted a handle attached to the guitar and they ended up with the monkey grip. You can goto Joe Jem Dispagni at myspace and see 3 other bodies I did the rough cutouts for. Joe routed and mounted the hardware. They will be torn down and finished later this month. I will upload some pics. Steve Named the Ibenez JEM in tribute of Joe Jem Dispagni. Google WIKI and Jemsite for details.

Wow! What a great history lesson on that guitar shape! You are very fortunate to have such a masterful teacher!
