This is a project that I did for my B-I-L. The handle on his Sgian Dubh, a Scottish kilt knife, broke and he wanted me to make another one for it. A first at a knife handle but was pleased with it, just hope he is. The wood is walnut.
The last picture is our house after a freak snow storm rolled through on Thursday. People in Louisiana do not need to be on the road when it snows, period. I had to attend a training class at work and I must have seen at least 10 to 12 cars in the ditch. It was crasy. Our instructor was from Pa. and he could not understand what all the fuss was about. He said this wasn’t snow, it was just a light dusting.

nice work on the knife handle.
I remember a freak snowstorm in 1987 or 1988 I think it was, when I was living in Baton Rouge. Everyone went crazy on the roads. It was cool though, seeing old-folks out making snow men, and throwing showballs with the kids. They seemed to appreciate a snow dump once in awhile.

Really like this knife. Beautiful craftsmanship. As for your light dusting of the white stuff…..Up here in the great white north, that amount wont even get the guys off the golf course….ya know what I mean EH !

That is a fine looking knife handle. Being from Minnesota I’ll reserve my comments about snow. Especially since we’re supposed to get pasted tomorrow.

Interesting handle. I like that it’s different.
Snow = Stay Home. Great time for hot cocoa & cookies and snugglin’. People who don’t know how to drive in snow REALLY need to stay home or put. I prefer to stay off the road and out of the way of those who have to be out there.

Very nice, looks sturdy. Cool knife! Like box making or cutting boards, knife re-handling can get addictive. Supposed to snow in the North West tonight, followed by below freezing weather. Shop weather for sure. Yahoo!

A very nice handle. Is it a replica of the original or your own design? Thanks for posting the last picture.
