Love the screen door – when do I receive mine? I’ve been planning for a couple of years to replace my patio screen door but just haven’t gotten around to it yet. Mortise & tenon joinery? What size did you make your tenons? Don’t know that I’d use mahogany, though I’d love to. Haven’t really decided what wood to use – perhaps white oak, although I’d hate to paint over it and a stained door just wouldn’t go with the patio. I was going to use cedar but it is just so soft that I don’t think it would last well. Then I thought of poplar but read many posts with recommendations against poplar. Maybe by next summer, I’ll figure it out <grin>!!
