This garden bench/gate were made entirely from a old redwood deck that a friend wanted to tear apart and haul to the landfill. My wife wanted a gate to her garden that she spends time in when she is not spending time with our daughters. I have access to a CNC to router in the words “Cultivate the Garden Within” in the top support.
She was not very proud of me when I pulled up to the house with a couple old broken decks on a flat bed trailer, but this was not the first time I have done this. The last time an old yellow 52 International Tuck that followed me home.
Regardless to say that she really was impressed with what you can make out of what looks like firewood, and really enjoys sitting out by the garden in the shade.
Finish used on this bench is good old mother nature.
We can’t wait untill the corn is ready to eat, and the green chile is ready to roast…
Have a Wonderful Summer,
Canexican and Family

This is a wonderful way to recycle used lumber. It really makes a nice entrance into your garden and, like Dennis, I think the lettering adds a unique element to the project.
Nice job.

That is really great. How did you do the lettering?

For the lettering I was fortunate to have access to a CNC router, it makes lettering a breeze.

A very inviting way to sit, & watch your garden grow.
Things don’t grow that fast were we live.
