My brother asked me to make him a table for his new board room.
His request was for a 3m long table with some display areas in the top.
This is what i delivered to him, New Guinea Red Cedar a little inlay of his company logo and detail on the legs .
Now have book shelves, side tables, clock, etc to do for the rest of the room. I think he was happy with it…

Very nice work. Like the inlays in the legs. BettaPork log was a labor of love for sure. You should make him some chairs next…. smile

agreed… now make the chairs… Yeah, I guess he would like it… a significant project very nicely done…

Well, if he doesn’t like it, you could always divorce him?

I don’t know… I think the juxtaposition of the folding chair and plastic chair makes the table shine more.

Never say never but, I think it will be a long wait to get a set of chairs out of me.

Working with wood is not a labour for me, it is a love, a passion, a past time to keep me sain.

By the way the is no veneer in this table it is all solid red ceder, milled stacked back in the mid 70s. Hard to come by 400mm wide 75mm think by 4000mm boards these days so I think that makes it special enough for him.

I think anything, hand crafted for that someone, is far better then any purchased item…..

Have your say...
