This project was inspired by lumberjock project 112921. Useful especially for holding wood when you are using a belt sander. Construction time was less than just thinking about doing it. Three boards made into a u shape. Two ends with hole for a 1/2 inch pipe. screw and glue together. Slide the movable clamp stop of the end of the pipe., slide the pipe through one end into the end clamp and out the other end. screw the jaw to the end. I think you had it figured out before I had time to type the instructions. 1/2 pipe clamp is all you need, I had these parts left over from 40 years ago. the top release is excellent, don’t know if they make them like that anymore.
comment appreciated.

The only belt sander I have is a floor stand model so it took me a second to figure it out! Yes, It really should work very well.
