A friend of mine needed a small side table for his first child’s new nursery, and asked me if I could help him build it. I took a version of a table I had built before and used pocket-hole joinery instead of traditional, hand-cut mortise and tenons and we had a table done in just 4-5 hours.
The legs are cut from 2×4s and I got to use my homemade taper jig. The long-side skirt is a re-sawn 2×4. The top is 1×12. All from the Home store.
He is going to paint it to match the room. Now my friend wants to buy a Kreg Jig and build all sort of things. Another convert to the Brotherhood of Dusty Pants.
