This is a 8ft headboard made of mahogany with a walnut stain. The catholic gate was provided by the customer. I welded the gate together and welded studs on the sides then I had to oxide my welds and spray a lacquer clear on all the metal to preserve the rustic element. I then built a jig to inlay the gate into the mahogany and turned 1 1/2 plugs to cover the studs that I used to bolt the wood and gate together with.

You really are quite an artist in many mediums. This is really beautiful. Or maybe it’s just that I’m Catholic. lol
