Body is mahogany, maple & purpleheart. In these photos it’s equipped with a neck I bought on eBay. I have a block of kingwood that will eventually become a neck when I find the time, and the nerve to attempt it.
These pictures are kind of yellowish, I took them before I learned how to white balance my camera.
Part of the impetus to build this was I had this honking big hunk of mahogany I got from a friend, whose cousin worked at a specialty lumberyard. Ditto for the smaller but still impressive block of maple. In the third picture, look at the bass neck in comparison to the blocks behind it. The neck is 32.5” long.

It’s got really nice fat sound. The pickups are active EMG’s, running at 18V.
