This is a first attempt so be gentle!
I “whipped” this up just to show you what I’ll be up to in the future.

Guess what I got at the Open House mentioned here?

You must be able to guess—my work isn’t THAT bad. Here’s a big hint.

NO WAY, Debbie got herself a LATHE.

Careful my dear. Do not get hurt, these tools have been known to hurt the human race.

I love your first project, is this the white queen with the rest of the chess game in the makes still?

Cool, just started using my lath also. So far I’ve made two 6” dowels 13/16” dia.. The first one came out so good I decided to make two. Think I might try a curve on my next one. Really! Have fun!

Is that mini-lathe available in Canada, MsDebbieP? If so, what is the cost?

Cute. Looks like a Beetle doll. Is this one Paul or Ringo?

Ringo.. definitely Ringo :)

Yes, Jroot, it’s available here. I got it in St. George. I got a deal on this one that I couldn’t pass on. I think the sticker price on it was around $300.
They have a new model coming out in January (already in the States I think) so this version will be discontinued. I think I got that information correct.
