Been busy so I got to make this quick :) EMHE is coming on, hehe…
This is a commission from the last Hill Country show I have to deliver tomorrow to Lampasas, Texas, it is a bench that is 58” inches long to fit inside the legs of a 6 foot farm table. The seat is 18 inches wide, 2 inches thick, and 18 inches tall, legs are hand mortised an inch deep into seat, tite bond 2 and Kreg 2.5 inch screws back it up for strength…as for the leg brace, I stuck a fork in it and it is done, hand rubbed Poly finish for water and food stain resistance….
I told myself this morning I needed a decent photo shoot corner, instead of shooting pics outside or with tools laying all around and lord knows what else… so I took 4, intact, 100 + year old barn gates I have been holding on to forever and screwed them up to a corner in my shop utilizing the ole hinges, shop vacced up all the sawdust and put some lighting in the corner and a hunter green throw rug….and heck it looks ok :)
The third pick is of one of the boards in one of those gates, at first I thought it was two boards cause of a long check, but it is not the plank is one and is 22 inches wide, sweet….
