This is a project I did a few years ago. I love arts and crafts style, so as a Christmas present my wife gave me these tiles with the ginko motif (one of my favorite trees). The design is my own. The wood is rift sawn white oak salvaged from an old school bench. It had been the “bad boys bench” in the office of the school where I was teaching. The back of the bench was a single 24” wide board. I gave that to my father-in-law and he made a table out of it. I still have one nice piece left for something special

Very nice. I was here before—at least I remember seeing Ellie’s Stool. Thanks for mentioning the site.
