I’m posting this as a new project but it is actually something I made as a freshman in high school vo-ag shop circa 1962. I’m posting this in the hopes that someone out there knows where I might find a copy of the original Deltagram I made it from. I have no idea what happened to my copy, nor what year, much less what issue. There are a couple of details that became lost over the years and I was hoping to restore it to original before I pass it along to my daughter. The school shop was equipped with a really nice Rockwell variable speed lathe and a lot of accessories, it was far superior to what I used at home.

I apologize for the poor photos.

Nice project. I bet a quick search on the web will give you the answers you’re looking for. Thanks for sharing.

My wife has a spinning wheel lamp from her parent’s house, that we are trying to repair/fix appropriately. It is a very slightly different design, with a rectangular base and a single strut that comes down off the “table” of the spinning wheel to support a foot pedal and crank. The foot pedal and crank are lost, so we are considering going to a metal pedal mechanism, like the old pedal sewing machines (but in miniature, of course). Anybody have ideas for a tiny (maybe 1×2 inch) “wrought iron” looking pedal?? Or where to get a pedal that will look right with 50-year-old wood?
