Just a box, finished this time

Made this box from a cherry log. Chain sawed a slab about 4×6x18” and then shaped it to cut 1/2” sides and 1/4” top and bottom. Glued up bottom and top for panels. Box is know as 11 groove box.

Finish box to 220 grit before glue up. Very little sanding after and 1 coat of tong oil. The box top fits very nicely. Used a 1” slate glued into grove.

I liked the box too. Thanks friends. Actually I liked it a lot. To make such a box that fit so well required sme precision
