these are two tables i recently made, out of sapelle and eastern maple. the customer wanted the colored dye on the wood, i would have prefered clear finish myself, but the customer is always right!
i glued up the legs with one quarter glued with newspaper so i could split off to hide the nuts.
threaded rod goes through the cross pieces, which holds the whole thing together. the top is screwed down under the inlay strip i had to mask off the inlay strip before spraying the lacquer dye, so the delicate inlay colors wouldn’t be lost
