I was commissiond to make 2 lap desks. One in african blackwood with resin tree burl interior and the other in Stinkwood with wild olive interior. It has 4 secret compartments and leather inserts. The hinges were custom made in the same wood, and was finished off with genuine leather.

I’ve always wanted to make a lap desk. Your design is inspiring. Great job.

Beautiful lap desks! I like the wood combos you used, and love the hinges!

Not sure if I’d want one made of stinkwood, though…......!

What a great job you did on both of these lap desks, the inside work is very well done
