I latched onto some nice mahogany in turning size chunks & went to work. The chunks weren’t very big so I made some small decorative projects. This goblet & bowl were finished with friction polish. And I sped up the lathe & used a pencil sized stick of wood with a curved groove in the end to make the dark friction burned rings. I’ve used a piece of rag with friction polish to burn wide rings before but get sharper lines & more control with the end of a piece of wood.
