I’ve been in need of a decent mallet for a while now that I’m getting more into hybrid woodworking. I picked up a hunk of walnut almost a year ago with a mallet in mind and it finally got transformed into one.

Check out the blog post and video of the build: http://blog.monolocoworkshop.com/2015/01/joinersmallet.html

Nice job and write up in the link. Is your logo a hot branding? How did you come by it?

Thanks!

My logo was just printed using my regular laser printer in reverse and then transferred using some lacquer thinner. I’ve had my MonoLoco Monkey for 13 or so years since I was a young entrepreneur. Loved monkeys and had my sisters friend draw it up for me.

Nice mallets … looks like you set up a little production line there!

Why make just 1 when you can make 6! The first was more of my prototype anyways.

So cool… will be doing this instead of purchasing one. Better materials than purchased and just the in your bones satisfaction of making it yourself!
