Here is another go at intentionally scrolling the filagree work and enhanced photo image. I worked out the value map in photoshop. The face is now a recognizable person; my daughter. I plan on using either frosted glass or multi-colored stained glass with backlighting.
Still working on the details with carving knives and sandpaper. I’ll post more later.

That is really wild. Not seen anything like that in wood. Will see how it turns out. Looks like a hard project. A lot of time and detail. I think the flowing lines around the hair are looking good. Good symmetry. Face is looking good too.

Nice job. I recommend using hide glue to make the frosted glass. Just spread it around on regular glass and let it dry. It pulls off surface shards into beautiful patterns. How heavy you apply changes the amount of frost. Have fun.
