By chance today I finished up 2 stools I was making from walnut scraps. The design was from a stool left in a house we purchased to rehab for my daughter. Since I busted up the found stool doing some wiring I wanted to make a replacement. Found enough scraps for one for my daughter and one for my wife as a birthday present. The simple pine stool was held together by a few finishing nails and the rabbet of the legs in the top boards. finish BLO and lacquer rubbed with steel wool and waxed. Sorry, the photos seem to distort the symmetry of the stools.

great looking stools! I like the design of them; those angled legs look great.

I love to copy old simple furniture.
