Kitchen and bath Cabinets

Finally got it done, this project has spread from the end of the season in the spring to the beginning this fall. I really like how it came out though. All solid cherry, no plywood even. The flat panel inserts are resawn and book matched, not sure I would do it again as it was labor intensive.

The finish is BLO, garnet shellac, and poly.

Hinges and drawer slides are soft close. The wife likes them because I can’t slam them anymore. Ha

Thanks for looking

Beautiful cabinets. I hope to start building our kitchen this year. I am nervous about the amount of work it will take. Great job on these :)

Absolutely beautiful. Love everything from the framing to the trim to the elegantly simple hardware. You can bet I’m not showing this to my wife. She’s been after me to do our master bath for a year.

Very nice. I know the feeling.

Ain’t it wonderful. My wife loves her new kitchen, especially the sink, and so do I. Heck I even wash dishes now. :-)

Les,

That’s a lot of work. We’re certain the first-quality results were very rewarding!

You did good. I hope to be building a new set of hickory cabinets this summer. I know it will be months of work with what we are wanting but worth it. Looks like we’ll have about 18 running feet plus a pantry, and island/bar. Then I’ll tackle the bathrooms. Looking at yours makes me even more eager to get going. Keep up the good work and thanks for posting.
