Built this table and carved it
the wood is padauk,ambrosia maple,brazilian cherry and purple heart
top was edge glued
and the rest loose tenon jointery
mirror coat for the top and sealed the rest with blended finishes
inlaid coin and dice from las vegas…........

I really like the carving on this table. It adds a great deal of interest. I’m not sure of the scale of the piece, is this likely to be used as a game table or a hall table.

IMHO , that top isn’t doing the rest of the table any favors . It is really distracting from your wonderful carvings and the colors just don’t compliment one another . Perhaps a thinner , solid Maple top would allow the rest of the table to show itself in a better light . The top appears to be as thick as the legs are in the view from the front (middle picture) . It makes the table look like a glorified butcher block .

While the table is very striking I would have to agree Dusty – the top is a bit of a distraction from the beautiful apron and legs. What is the intended purpose of the table? Gaming, display, coffee cups, plants??
