This dog feeding stand was made for a couple of small dogs. It is made of cherry with inserted removable stainless steel bowls. The top is maple plywood. This is a good project to make use of those odd cut-offs.
The unit is finished with wipe-on Polyurethane over Shellac. The Shellac brings out the color of the Cherry wood, and the Poly makes for a water-resistant durable finish.
Note that the molding shape around the base is complemented with the same pattern around the top edge. Also the uplift in the center of the base molding provides a lightened effect, and makes it easier to pick up from the floor.

Very spiffy design for a dog dish holder. I hope they appreciate it. :-)

Nicely done. I can see their tails wagging once the food is added of course.

these are very good for the dog to have his food at a height that that are standing instead of sitting
Have your say...
