My frist project. Slowly putting together a shop and I completed these for christmas gifts. Wine balancers and cutting boards made from hard maple, walnut, purple heart, yellow heart, and paduka. Thanks to all the fellow lumber jocks for inspiration and ideas. My favorite list is growing by the day. I am looking forward to some time in my shop to take on a new project.

Great looking boards. Those thin strip glue ups can be a nightmare. Do you have a planer or did you sand them?

Nice job. I learned on my first board that the glue up on thin strips can be a pain.

Jeremy T21 the first 5 boards were done with only sanding. After that I purchased a dewalt DW735x planer. It was amazing hoe much time the planer cut down. The wine balancers were made w/ scraps from cutting boards. My next purchase is going to be a handheld belt sander.
